Rogers & Associates offers expertise in the area of Protective Coatings.  Our areas of experience include Oil & Gas; Pipelines, Transportation, Marine, Mining and Refining. We are an active member in the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP). Our President and Senior Consultant, Gil Rogers, has over 45 years of direct coating experience and is a former Lead Instructor in the AMPP Coating Inspection Program.

Gil’s 45 year career in the coatings industry has qualified him to offer practical consultancy to his clients.  An apprenticeship in the painting and decorating trade led to Gil’s achieving Journeyman status in 1977.  Since then Gil has worked as an Industrial Painter, Foreman, Superintendent, Estimator, Technical Sales Representative, Technical Manager, Inspector, Project Manager, Instructor, Field Manager , Fireproofing Manager, Senior Project Manager, Division Manager and Director of Training.

Gil is a Senior AMPP Certified Coating Inspector, and one of the elite group of coating specialists that carry the Protective Coating Specialist Certification.

As a former lead instructor in the AMPP Coating Inspector Training Program and , Gil traveled internationally, primarily as a AMPP Lead Instructor in the CIP, CUI and PAC programs.  This activity has permitted Gil to become a well-known figure in the industrial protective coatings community.

Gil’s unique combination of technical training, practical experience and ability to teach has given him the opportunity to effectively liaise at all levels of the coatings industry.
